This morning I noticed something strange sticking out of the ceiling. At first I thought it was a black blob of glue or some kind of cable. I got closer—and literally froze. Was it… alive? No, it wasn't moving.
But it seemed like something foreign, frightening, and completely out of place.
All possible explanations instantly ran through my head:
